Still think that only social networks rule the world and that mobile apps have beaten the desktop versions of computers? Then you’re susceptible to maximalist, and reflective, subjective opinions. And here’s the truth – more than 70% of millennials who have entered the role of decision makers, both economic and managerial, consider email to be their preferred mode of communication. But how do you capitalize on this inertia of potential customers? And the very first thing to pay attention to is the proper drafting of the subject line for cold email. Let’s talk about this.

Use the golden word rule

Do they meet by the way they are dressed? Read the subject line in the first words? Both are true. So do not beat around the bush, and immediately give food for thought. “Golden words” in terms of new customers, will be the first phrases. For example, successfully sounded in the theme of a brief phrase: “Sale jackets with discounts – find out for whom,” or something along these lines. Everything is clear and accessible, though intriguing: they sell jackets and inexpensive, and to find out who gets special terms of purchase can be in the letter.

Only without mistakes, please

If the author of the message is not strong in grammar and can afford to make not only spelling errors – to miss or replace letters in the words. But you can’t make those mistakes either:

– coarse stylistic, mixing styles of presentation;

– syntactic errors are inappropriate;

– it is desirable to avoid incorrectly spaced or substituted characters.

If there is a problem with good literacy, you should hire a proofreader, or better yet, a text editor. Such a freelance service, or ordering permanent services for a rate, will justify the cost. It would seem, well, how important is it? You cannot measure potential readers by their own gaps in knowledge.

There are, unsurprisingly, plenty of users who are strangely good at grammar. And simply because of such mistakes, they will not read even a very important and profitable for them sentence. As they say, out of principle. In addition, the presence of errors emphasizes the unseriousness of the author’s attitude toward the potential client and his unpreparedness to perform his duties in a high-quality and professional manner.

Push the pain point

This works when you’re sure your target audience is centered around a certain important topic. In the example above, the pain point is clearly the topic of discounts. And the second level of pain point is the seasonal purchase of a jacket. The potential customer wants the jacket. But first, he is still thinking about a benefit unrelated to the purchase of the thing itself. He ponders the potential benefit that may arise if he attends a sale. There are many other ways to get attention. But you can try the ways we suggest attracting attention.
